Murree – October 2025: The Punjab Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has introduced a brand-new electric cart “City Tour” service at Kashmir Point, offering tourists a clean and eco-friendly way to explore the scenic hill station.
The service was inaugurated by PTDC Managing Director Asim Raza under the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who has fast-tracked multiple tourism projects to modernize Murree.

Alongside the electric cart service, PTDC is working on several new attractions and facilities, including:

Earlier, the Punjab government also announced a Rs550 million restoration project for Murree’s historic Mall Road, a landmark with over 160 years of history. The scheme will be executed by the Walled City Authority Lahore, aiming to revive Murree’s old charm.

“The historic beauty of Murree will be restored within a year,” said CM Maryam Nawaz, emphasizing that the government will not compromise on quality. She reiterated her vision to transform Murree into a premier destination for both local and international tourists.
